Check out the Spring 2019 article I wrote for Highscope’s Active Learner magazine!
I am delighted to share “Bringing the Benefits of Nature to All Children,” an article I wrote, for Highscope’s Active Learner magazine, Spring 2019.
As I say in the article, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework guided by research and focused on the what, how, and why of learning to promote the development of flexible and responsive learning environments and activities. Bringing together the UDL framework with research-based principles for implementing nature-based outdoor classrooms helps us move much closer to supporting children of all abilities to be a part of things — and thrive — outdoors.
It was a fun surprise to learn Highscope used my article for their sneak peak! Your free Highscope membership includes access to Active Learner magazine.
